1. Find Interested People -
Social media is just what it say "social" media. Therefore, finding people that are interested in your product or message is important. Those people are the ones that will help propel your messages to even more people.
2. Deliver Quality Content - If you give your audience what they want, the more likely they will follow you. Look at it as you being an entertainer. Entertainers mostly make money off of their specialized crowds, not, off of people that just happened to show up to an event.
3. Collect Information - Collecting information from your audience is important because it allows you to notify them of any upcoming information from you. If you're a business, it allows you to market your new products to your target audience directly. Same for a musician, brand, etc.
4. Stay in Contact - This ties in to the previous point. By collecting information from your audience, you are now able to directly communicate to them in an ethical way. The key is to not over do it.
