Social Media Tips for Bloggers and Businesses

Social Media Tips for Bloggers and Businesses Most people look at social media as a powerful tool to attract and retain visitors. However, what most people don’t understand is how to build a powerful social media platform.

Have you heard the notion of not directly communicating with your followers or visitors? Most have. When you think about it, you realize it doesn’t make any sense at all. If you want people to like, follow, or visit you, you need to make them feel like you are a normal person. We have all seen a blogger or business social media accounts only pump their post or products. If you ask them how much business they attract, most will tell you not that many. The reason is simple. They look at your account as a promotional tool and not valuable. Many are probably only following you to get their follower count up. Thus, pushing products or post could be beneficial; however, I’ve seen much more exposure to my post and blogs when I actively engaged with my social media followers.

Below is a short list of tips to get better results from social media.

Be consistent – it’s important to understand that the more frequently your potential clients see post from you the more likely they will think about using your service. Now this doesn’t mean you need to flood them with 30 posts a day. My suggestion would be to limit your post to less than 10 per day. To maximize your message find out what is the best time to post.

Make your post informational not constant sell pitches – as I discussed earlier in the post, flooding your timeline with sell pitches turns off people. Make them feel like they’re getting something from you. And trust will follow.

Set up complete profiles – if you’re going to make an account on any social media network don’t half ass it. Make the profile complete. A well developed complete profile will make you seem more professional, organized, and personable.
